Proverbs 22:6 says  Train a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.

If you study the original Hebrew word for “old” you find the word is a derivative of the word “beard.” The implication is if you train a child in the way he should go, when he starts getting hair on his face and enters puberty, then he will not depart from his training. It really means they will never leave the faith! ”
